Web Lens Page Filter for Images and Hyperlinks
This project was created as a type of web filter. It lets you focus on the parts
a web page that you are really interested in. This is done by filtering a website
html on our servers before it is sent down to the viewer.
The concept was inspired by several internet blogs and forums where people spend
most of their time yelling at each other and occasionally posting humorous pictures.
The idea came that it would be good to trim away the junk (loud mouth opinions and
trolls) and focus on just the pictures.
Start by entering a URL and hitting the “Go” button. Currently there are 3 viewing
options.
- Show All will display the original html.
- Links will include navigation hyperlinks.
- Images will include the pages images.
By checking both Links and Images you can see pictures and still maintain navigation
on most sites.
Instead of typing in a URL you also have the ability to start your browsing with
a Google Search. Just enter your criteria, hit search, and you're on your way.
